What our customers are saying
Ken Starks and HeliOS Solutions has made my computer so much better with Linux. I love the Linux system. The main reason why I love Linux so much is that I don't have to worry about little bugs and viruses getting in my computer and crashing it! This has happened to me over and over in the past with Windows. I will never go back to Windows ever again. It is so much easier than Windows too. Lastly, the service I have received has been great. Any time that I had a question or needed help figuring something out, Ken Starks himself is always there to lend a helping hand and is always so so nice. That is such a bonus to me because I don't feel like I'm just another number in the crowd waiting to be helped.
I think Linux is the next big hit and is the future of the computing world!
Hi Ken,
Joan and I wanted to let you know how thrilled we are with our new Linux system. It is such a relief to not worry about viruses and spyware anymore. What struck us immediately about Linux is the beauty of it. Every page and graphic fairly sparkles. It almost seems like you can reach in and touch the things on the screen. We never had this kind of beauty and functionality with Microsoft Windows and we want to thank you for making our everyday computing experience a joy and not drudgery. We are more than happy to tell everyone we know about the magic you make on computers.
My name is Mike. I am completely new to Linux. I contacted Ken Starks to install Linux on my laptop as a dual boot. Ken quoted a price for a dual boot installation. He spent five hours trying to install various distributions (PC Linux OS, Mepis, and Fedora). He successfully installed Fedora 8. He even spent more of his own time trouble-shooting a problem with the wireless LAN card.
Ken promised, and he delivered. He devoted as much time as it took to accomplish the job and didn't raise his fee. He was courteous. I highly recommend Ken Starks.
Thanks again.
To HeliOS Solutions,
Well, this begins month two without having to reboot our computer and my kids have went download-crazy. The fact that they can play their beloved games and not ruin our setup like it used to happen is not only a relief, it has saved us countless hours of reformating and reinstalling Windows. Keep doing what you are doing. My neighbors should be calling you shortly.
Dear Ken,
I wanted to drop you an email and let you know that since you put your system on our computer, it has not crashed or frozen up once. The amount of software available with the click of a mouse is amazing. The fact that it is all free still makes me wonder how it can be legal. Then again, when you've had no other experience but pulling out your wallet every time software is mentioned, you can get into that rut. Thanks a million for your extra patience with us. You and your guys are welcome in our home any time.
To HeliOS Solutions,
My Son Came home from college last week after finishing his summer internship and he said he had a surprise for us when he got home. It turns out that he was going to install Linux on our computers here at home because we were always fighting with viruses and spyware then complaining about it. Greg learned about Linux at school and when he found out we were already set up with it here he seemed disappointed at first but then relieved. When he asked me how I learned about Linux I told him about your service and what it cost. His remark?
"Those guys work way too cheap."
I don't know about your business and it's none of my business anyway. I just wanted to let you know that it reassured us greatly to find out that we had the same thing on our computers that our son does. He starts at IBM two weeks after he graduates. I think we can trust his judgement.
To The Owners of HeliOS Solutions,
My name is Jack Mallory and I have a business which relies upon computers to accomplish our mission. For years, I have dreaded the annual visit of our Microsoft Rep. Every time he walks through our door he costs us more money. Thanks to you people, I was able to tell him that we would no longer be needing his services. I could tell he wasn't used to hearing that.
He went into "salvage mode" immediately. Being a salesman myself I know the tactic well. About two minutes into his pitch, I motioned him over to my computer and clicked your website. I pulled up the HeliOS Challenge and told him that if he could meet the challenge, I would sign with him again.
I haven't heard from him since. Amazing.
What a difference you guys made! I am stunned that I have been using a computer for ten years and didn't know about this. You guys saved me more than your paltry little fee can ever match. You folks are a part of my conversations from here on in.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I want to take a minute and thank Ken and the folks at HeliOS Solutions for their help and guidance. I get the feeling that when more people find out how easy using thier computer really is, they will not only be relieved, they will be angry as well. Hour many hours have we wasted fighting this nonesense?
Thanks folks for your outstanding service and for not treating us like a bunch of computer dummies.
Ken,
I just wanted to drop you an email and thank you for all you have done for my family. Having 6 kids in school at once was going to be a real burden when it came to getting them all computers. They fought over the computer worse than they fought over the bathroom, and believe me, those are some epic struggles. With your Linux Solution, we have been able to use our present computers and outfit them all with your do-it-yourself kit. Thanks again for saving me a ton of money and my sanity. For that, a hundred bucks was indeed a small price to pay.

I appreciate your insight and perspective on how to open people's eyes to Microsoft's problems. I've been using Linux now for about a year and a half, and I stopped dual-booting Windows about a year ago. I cannot believe how much time, energy, and money I literally wasted, needlessly, on software while using Windows. Equally as astounding to me has been the response of my friends when I even mention the word Linux. Mostly they roll their eyes and laugh as if I'm playing with some toy that has no real value. They say that Windows works fine for them, and that's exactly what I used to say ... UNTIL I used Linux.
I've had one friend begin using Linux, but he was already interested apart from me. The others just don't seem interested, or they don't understand. I don't know. I think for one it's hard for people to accept that they've been duped. And I really believe that, considering the alternatives, MS is duping people into using Windows. Nobody wants to realize that they've been wasting their money and time. Those are two of an American's most precious assets, and nobody wants to waste them.
I will keep trying to shed light on the situation for them, but I think you are right that they need to come to the realization themselves. People, in general, are not dumb. They just need to be informed and then given the proper encouragement and support to follow through with their decision.
Keep up the great work.
